Rex’s Garage was founded by Mitchell Rex, a lifelong gearhead whose passion for cars started on the track, not in a shop. Mitchell got his start racing go-karts as a kid, worked his way up through the Challenger Series, and even spent time competing in Emods. His brother raced Emods too, and Mitchell spent years turning wrenches on the pit crew for him. That racing connection remains alive and well today; Mitchell previously assisted #27 Rex Racing, and currently crews for and sponsors BB Racing.

The family’s mechanical know-how runs deep. While his brother now runs the family excavation and dump truck business, Mitchell handles the maintenance on that heavy machinery himself. That same hands-on drive and commitment to doing the job right is what eventually turned Mitchell’s lifelong passion into a business. Originally opened as Mitchell Rex Used Tire and Garage, the shop evolved to match its expanding capabilities, officially rebranding to Rex's Garage in 2024.

The building itself has deep family roots. The shop used to belong to Mitchell’s dad, Steve, before Mitchell took it over and transformed it into what it is today. Steve, an electrician by trade, pitched in on the extensive renovations himself and has mentored Mitchell every step of the way. A special thanks goes to Steve; none of this would have been possible without his support and guidance.

Today, Rex’s Garage is a certified PA State Inspection Station, offering trusted, honest service for cars, trucks, and heavy-duty vehicles alike. From routine maintenance to major repairs, we bring track-tested dedication to every vehicle that enters our bays.
